offer independent walking with B&B and friendly advice on routes,
as well as guided walking breaks for those interested in gaining more
enjoyment from their walking and a greater insight into the Mendip Hills,
and landscape & natural history in general. Led by Adrian Boots,
an experienced landscape ecologist & lecturer/researcher with a
passionate interest in the ecology, history, archaeology, wildlife and
culture of the Mendips, our guided walking breaks will give you a whole
new perspective from which to gain more from all your future walks.

YOUR GUIDE & HOST
Your guide
is Adrian Boots BSc (Hons) in Geography & Environmental Management,
MSc. Adrian has been a Research Associate and lecturer at the University
of the West of England (UWE), and has worked on a number of conservation
schemes for English Nature, and now Natural England where he is a Catchment
Sensitive Farming Officer.
He also leads walks, courses and workshops on wild food, bushcraft
and natural history.
His own continuing professional development includes training in Permaculture
with Patrick Whitefield, and bushcraft survival skills with Mors Kochanski.
Adrian is passionate, and immensely knowledgeable, about the Mendip
Hills and the West Country. His style is very informal, enthusiastic
and friendly, and he provides guests with a unique and delightful perspective
on the area. It is his pleasure to share his enjoyment of the area with
you.
