Offering a breath of fresh air and a complete change of pace, we are situated on a quiet lane on the outskirts of Blagdon village in the heart of the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with footpaths on the doorstep, lambs in the field next door, ponies in the paddock, and spectacular panoramic views over the hills, woodland and across to Wales. Ashcroft offers non-smoking accommodation in lovely, fresh rooms with single, double, twin or family occupancy (some rooms are en-suite, please enquire). Our rooms have TV, hospitality trays with tea, coffee, fruit/herb teas, biscuits and water and free wireless internet access. Towels are provided. We offer a hearty continental style buffet breakfast, using mostly organic local produce, in our characterful dining room with beamed ceiling, stone wall and antique French woodburner. Families and well-behaved children are welcome, we have a stair gate, high chair and quality travel cot. We offer evening meals by prior arrangement - please enquire.
We are happy to welcome visitors from all countries ~ we accept euros at £1 = 1 euro from overseas visitors on standard priced rooms.
It's a great location to explore all the best West Country attractions including Bath, Wells, Cheddar, Wookey, Weston Super Mare, the Mendip Hills and the Chew Valley, with friendly pubs and visitor attractions here in Blagdon village and nearby. Come and explore the many attractions of the West Country... if you tire of the views and the stunning sunsets, there is plenty more on our doorstep to keep you occupied. Walking, horse riding, mountain biking, caving, fishing and dry slope skiing are on, or very near our doorstep together with many local attractions. Some fabulous days out can be found with Wells Cathedral, Glastonbury Tor, Cheddar and Wookey Hole caves and Bristol and Bath, all within 15 to 35 minutes drive.
