HORSE-RIDING
 This
is a fantastic location for horse riding, and one of the reasons we
moved here! We're at the top of the hill, in the heart of the Mendip
Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) so bring your own horse
and you can ride virtually straight out onto bridle tracks! There are
open tracks, interspersed with wonderful wooded areas, plenty of space
for a good gallop!
The photo's here show just some of the open riding on the Mendip Hills,
and some of our own horses. Our miniature ponies, Sadie & Insy (shown
below) enjoy their job of holding court at home and meeting visitors,
especially ones with carrots!

We can offer summer grazing for visiting horses, maps and advice on
routes, also entertainment for non-riding partners in the form of mountain
biking, dry slope skiing and other activities locally, including some
fantastic pubs. Alternatively there's always lots of great shopping
in Bath, Wells, Glastonbury and Clarks Village.
If you don't want to bring your own horse, you can go trekking
nearby at Tynings Farm - tel: 01934 742501

of the ILPH, and we even had one of their rescued horses, ILPH Frosty,
on loan as a companion to Jeago. Sadly, Frosty passed away a few years
ago, but we remain keen supporters of this amazing charity. Please visit
